Welcome to Newspapers in Education!

The goal of the Times-News Newspaper in Education program is to encourage and support the use of newspapers in the classroom as a tool for promoting literacy and to maintain a program that will inform, involve, and inspire students to learn more about the world around them.

The Newspaper in Education program is devoted to providing a service to children, teachers, and the community. The program is grounded in the belief that reading the newspaper is an essential element in the formation of citizenship.

For more information or to order classroom copies or curriculum guides e-mail NIE & Promotions Director Michele Terry at Michele_Terry@link.freedom.com or call her at 336-506-3071.
