Kids cage fighting in Britain
A club in Preston, England, recently sponsored a cage fighting match for kids under 10, who competed before a sell-out crowd. Video of match brought criticism from the British Medical Association, child welfare advocates and government officials.■Class discussion: Is mixed martial arts competition appropriate for children? What about head injuries? Were the youngsters being used for entertainment? Would you want to participate in cage fighting? Why?
