FREE TEACHING PROGRAM - GRADES 7-12

Chicago Tribune News in Education in partnership with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and Greenberg Traurig, LLP present Our First Amendment Freedoms program. Designed for students in grades 7-12, this FREE program focuses on how the application of the First Amendment impacts the lives of today's young people exploring such topics as Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Student Expression, Freedom of Petition and Assembly, etc.

  • Daily access to Chicago Tribune's electronic newspaper edition beginning Monday, October 29 through, Friday November 16.
  • 16-page online student supplement Downloadable content and activities that help students develop reading and writing skills as they read about case studies relating to the First Amendment.
  • Online teacher guide Includes, reproducible lesson plans and extended activities that support the student supplement will be available for download 10/29/12.
