Activities:
1. Draw a large bee on a piece of paper. Now paste newspaper words that start with the letter “B” and describe bees around your picture.
2. Survey friends – ask if they would prefer to be a worker, a drone or the queen bee. Have them tell you why they would make that choice.
3. In the newspaper , circle any products that are or use honey in some way. How many different kinds of products did you find? W hat do you use in your own home?
4. How are these important to honey bees: (a) queen bees, (b) colonies, (c) varroa mites and (d) flowers?
5. Use the Internet to learn more about migrator y beekeepers and bee rentals. Draw a picture illustrating what you learned. Write a paragraph about your findings.
