The Stock Market Game GRADES 4-12
Offered at no cost to all CT schools.
This simulated financial literacy game will have students thinking, speculating, and calculating as they:
- sharpen critical thinking and research skills
- use the news (eCourant - electronic version of the newspaper) to recognize business trends
- experience real life lessons in math, economics and business
- practice technology skills
- engage in teamwork
Each team will:
- Consist of 2-5 players
- Invest a hypothetical $100,000 over a ten-week period via online transactions
- Receive 2 eCourants (licenses) per team three days a week
- Compete in one of three divisions: Grades 4-6; Grades 7 and 8; Grades 9-12
eCourant Access 7 days a week
- From August 15 - June 30
- You must register with SMG.
- Weekly Standings published in the paper and on-line every Friday
