OUR STORY

Launched in 1986, Los Angeles Times
in Education is a nationally acclaimed,
award-winning program that annually
helps thousands of Southern California
students to improve and expand their
learning and language skills.

At no cost to participating teachers,
Times in Education provides copies of
the Los Angeles Times print edition,
access to The Times eEdition, 24/7,
comprehensive curriculum guides
aligned with California State
Department of Education standards,
plus the opportunity for students to
enter rewarding art and essay contests.

Times in Education lessons and
materials allow students, from
kindergarten through 12th grade, to
learn core academic skills in fun and
interesting ways, as well as make the
connection between classroom
learning and real-life applications.

Thank you to the many individuals, our
Classroom Heroes, and corporate
partners, leading Southland
businesses and organizations, for
supporting our program and making
Times in Education possible.

MISSION STATEMENT

The objective of Times in Education
is to partner with leading businesses
and organizations to help students in
our community learn the skills they
need to succeed in the classroom - and in life.
