Hundreds Killed in Egypt as Military Cracks Down
Egypt's health ministry estimates the army's violent crackdown on protests supporting ex-President Mohamed Morsi has killed more than 270 people. Interim Vice President Mohamed ElBaradei resigned in protest. He had promised the U.S. and Europe the military would aid a democratic transition.
