Facebook is facing growing criticism over its privacy settings - so much so they had to call an emergency meeting to deal with it last week.
A blogger for Entertainment Weekly says many people are going to the extreme and actually deleting their accounts.
USA Today writes that "A vocal slice of Facebook's 400 million members are grousing about a new feature from the social-networking giant that lets non-Facebook websites post the personal views of Facebook users without their consent."
■Class discussion: Is your privacy a major concern when you post personal items on Facebook? What kind of information about you would you rather not share with marketing companies or other people? When you post something online, do you expect it to stay private (shared with just your FB "friends") or public (shared with everyone.) Is there anything wrong with everybody knowing everything about you?
