Most of us have been told not to let the bedbugs bite, but for decades the pests have been virtually nonexistent. Until now. Bedbugs are making a comeback across the country, costing both average Joes and city governments big bucks to deal with the itch-inducing home invaders.
■Class discussion: New York City announced a half a million dollar initiative last week to deal with the rapid increase. How do you think spending all that money will help beat back the bugs? How would you advise New York to spend it? Bug spray? Marketing campaigns? Bug police?
