The Mini Page is a syndicated, four-page tabloid written for young children found each Wednesday in The Denver Post. This issue of The Mini Page is available through the eEdition Archive to registered eEdition subscribers

Activities:

1. Write the title s of three books from today’s Mini Page on a large piece of paper. Next to each title, paste a newspaper picture that might go with that title.

2. Take seven titles of books in today’s Mini Page. Rewrite the titles using synonyms. Have friends try to guess the real titles.

3. Name books from The Mini Page that you would give these awards: Most Exciting , Most Unusual , Most Historic and Most Like Me . Explain your choices.

4. Which books would you recommend for a (a) scientist, (b) historian, (c) athlete and (d) entertainer?

5. Take two characters from books in The Mini Page. Pick a story from the newspaper. Write a new story with your book characters in the newspaper story.
