August 15, 2018 : Getting Along at Home

Activities:

1. Make a “Get Along” poster. On your poster, paste newspaper words that show what kind of person you have to be to get along with others. Paste newspaper pictures of people helping each other.

2. In the newspaper, circle people in news stories and ads who have a job helping people. Look especially for those who help people l earn to get along with others. You might find stories about bullying or school and personal counselors.

3. Find a comic strip where people are not getting along. Explain how you would help them solve their difficulty and learn to get along again.

4. How are these part of getting along with siblings: (a) attention, (b) competition, (c) step - sisters and step - brothers and (d) younger brothers and sisters.

5. Make a family or friends brochure. Fold a piece of paper into four sections. Draw a picture of a family member or a friend at the top of the section. Paste newspaper words that describe the good qualities of each person under his/her picture.
