Welcome to the Hartford Courant News in Education program!

NIE is an ONLINE INTERACTIVE CLASSROOM RESOURCE to help teachers connect students to the news and provide COMMON CORE RESOURCES. Programs have been specifically designed to address the needs of Connecticut students in SOCIAL STUDIES, GEOGRAPHY, SCIENCE, MATH and LANGUAGE ARTS.

Every week there will be new information and program pages available for you to use. These pages are written by educators, museums, nature centers and other professional organizations that work with students. The Hartford Courant is striving to meet educators’ needs to bring COMMON CORE content and technology to classrooms.
