■Class discussion: Should Internet companies like Facebook or Google censor news, advertising, searches or personal posts? If they do, who should decide what is or isn’t acceptable? With computer algorithms using our browsing and search history to determine what advertising and news we see, are Internet companies already censoring our information? How do Internet “echo chambers” isolate and divide us? What can you do to get differing opinions? What can you do to protect yourself from bogus or slanted information?
