C. Bolivia is bordered by Peru to the northwest, Brazil to the north and east, Paraguay to the southeast, Argentina to the south and Chile to the southwest. In August, biologists and environmentalists warned Peru, Brazil and Bolivia about fire dangers in what they said might be the region's worst drought in at least half a century.
A. One-third of Bolivia is in the Andean Mountains, the longest continental mountain range in the world. Scientists say climate change is melting the Andes glaciers. The glacier on the Chacaltaya mountain, one of South America's highest, disappeared in 2009, taking Bolivia's only ski resort with it.
D. La Paz is the seat of government and the highest capital in the world at an altitude of 11,975 feet above sea level. Morales fired Bolivia’s top water officials for failing to warn about the lack of water for the city of about 800,000 people. Many of the city's reservoirs are empty.
B. Bolivia exports most of the natural gas it produces, ranking 16th in the world in gas exports.
