A. While part of the Kingdom of Denmark, the Faeroe Islands have been self-governing since 1948, controlling most areas apart from military defense, policing, justice, currency, and foreign affairs. C. Russia buys 26.4% of Faeroe exports; Britain buys 14.1%; Denmark buys 6.2%; and the United States buys 4.7%. The Faeroe Islands also ships fish to Germany, China, Poland and Norway.
