A. Alaska’s Denali, also known as Mount McKinley, rises 20,310 feet above sea level and is the highest peak in North America. But, Hawaii’s volcanic Mauna Kea is a whopping 30,610 feet tall when it is measured from its base on the Pacific Ocean floor to its peak at 13,803 feet above sea level.
D. What became the state of Vermont in 1791, was an area once claimed by both the colonies of New Hampshire and New York. Vermont borders New Hampshire to the west.
