D. After agreeing in December to a $103 billion aid package for Ukraine, Orban in March vetoed the deal to help the nation that has fought Russian invaders for more than four years. Orban was considered the greatest ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin within the EU.

The Danube is Europe’s second-longest river, starting in Germany and passing through or bordering Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, and Ukraine before emptying into the Black Sea.
