Cobber Wellness Corner – Brain Breaks

Are you looking for ways to increase students’ attention span and test scores while reducing behavior concerns? Consider incorporating Brain Breaks into the day! Brain Breaks are quick 1-2 minute activities that take virtually no preparation, extra materials, or space to perform. Students of all ages love them because they are fun and make people laugh. They also challenge students’ brains. Energizing Brain Breaks help students cross the midline of their body which helps “awaken” both sides of the brain after sitting for long periods of time. It is suggested to use a Brain Break every 30 minutes with your class or audience.
