Activities:
1. Make a newspaper ad for one of the books in this issue.
2. Select four newsmakers from today’s newspaper. Recommend a book from The Mini Page for each newsmaker. Explain your choices.
3. Pretend you are a reporter writing about four of the books in The Mini Page. Write a headline for each book.
4. Which of the books are about (a) animals, (b) fantasies, (c) real-life situations and (d) mysteries?
5. Select a newspaper photo for the setting of a story. Select one newsmaker and one comic strip character for the story. Use the setting and characters to create a new story.
