Activities:

1. Draw a museum for your favorite collections. Paste newspaper words that identify what would be in the museum around the picture.

2. Write the names of five comic strip characters on a piece of paper. What kind of museum would each character like?

3. In your newspaper, circle words or pictures of items that could be in an art, history or science museum.

4. How are these important to museums: (a) James Smithson, (b) Vatican, (c) Congress and (d) National Zoo?

5. Create your own “Day of History” museum. Paste newspaper stories on a plan of your museum.
