Hackers access millions of student records
Hackers breached PowerSchool, exposing sensitive data of over 62 million students and 9.5 million teachers in North America. The attack targeted the Student Information System, revealing names, contact information, dates of birth, medical alert information, Social Security Numbers, and “other related information.” PowerSchool claims the stolen data has been destroyed, but the company is offering identity protection and credit monitoring.
