Amazon Prime members in 37 U.S. cities and surrounding areas can now use the company's Key service to let delivery drivers put packages directly inside their homes. But a lot of potential users still aren't convinced Key is safe. To use Key, customers have to buy and install an Amazon Cloud Cam and smart lock that allows drivers to open the door while being recorded by the video camera.
Class discussion: Would you be comfortable letting a delivery driver open your front door? Do you worry that packages let outside your door may be stolen? Is there a better way to handle deliveries? Do you and your family do much shopping online? Why or why not? How is competition from online retailers affecting regular stores and shopping malls? Is online shopping destroying or creating more jobs?
