Capitol fence to return ahead of protest supporting rioters

Police will reinstall a tall fence around the U.S. Capitol ahead of Saturday's planned protest to support the roughly 600 people charged in the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the involving backers of former President Donald Trump, sources said. One source said right-wing groups are plan to participate in the rally and might be "targeting policemen." The fence was first installed after Jan. 6 rioters tried to block Congress from formally certifying President Joe Biden's 2020 election victory over Trump, who made false claims of widespread voting fraud.
