Plastic bubbles were set up on the sidewalk next to Café du Soleil in New York City to protect customers from the spread of COVID-19 and shelter diners from cold and rain. To keep outdoor patrons warm through the autumn and winter months, the city will allow restaurants to use certain heaters and enclosed tents. City restaurants will also be able to reopen for indoor dining at 25% capacity under the latest rules to control the pandemic.
