Advanced 3D model goes inside Titanic wreck

Two robot submersibles spent more than 200 hours in 2022 taking more than 715,000 photos of the Titanic wreck at the bottom of the North Atlantic Ocean. Those photos have been stitched together to create an extremely detailed, 3D digital scan of the wreck. Promoted as “unsinkable,’ the British passenger liner was on its maiden voyage when it struck an iceberg in 1912 and sank, killing more than 1,500 people.
