Summer learning resources

The Tampa Bay Times Newspaper in Education program (NIE) offers free resources to students and parents to help learning continue over the summer. Throughout the summer months, students can continue to learn with the Tampa Bay Times from the convenience of their computer, tabloid or phone in school and at home. During the summer break, students and teachers in the following counties have access to the digital edition of the Tampa Bay Times: Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota.

Please email ordernie@tampabay.com to find out the log in information for your school district.

Reading increases vocabulary, writing skills and knowledge of the world around us. What better way to increase knowledge about the world than by reading newspapers? What better way to make this reading more interactive than by using the digital edition? We know that children learn best when parents are interested and involved in their education.

Many parents have found that using the newspaper is an easy, enjoyable way to read, talk and think together with their children. Seeing a parent read the newspaper every day motivates a child to want to do the same – read and learn.

School personnel and parents: Get the Tampa Bay Times for 13 weeks for just $2 a week! Choose Sunday print + unlimited digital access or unlimited digital access only.
