As day turns to night,
The moon shines brightly.
The world is at peace,
As the wind changes slightly.
As she walked through the forest,
The leaves glistened with dew.
The trees rustled in silence,
The flowers bloomed anew.
Her anger faded away,
The pain was no more.
It was all gone,
She felt newly born.
Then rain came to the ground,
She felt it on her skin.
All of the darkness went away,
There was no such thing as a sin.
As she watched the rain fall.
God came down to Earth,
"I have made this rain for you," God said,
"As a sign of a soul's rebirth."

The moon rises up after the sun sets
Half one night, full soon after
Like a scoop of vanilla ice cream
It daintily hangs in the black night
Twinkling stars circle the moon like small ants
Bowing to their queen
Its faint light reflects in the rippling water of an almost still lake
Then it falls asleep and disappears
Waiting for its duty the next night
