Take a deep breath
I'm here with you
It's out of our hands
Gone and through

I sense it now
I feel it, too
I taste it, smell it
I'm tense, so are you

I hear it coming
From the distance
Some are wondering
About its persistence

Who cares how long
It's gonna last
It's coming down now
Hard and fast

The Rain

Alone In Her Room

Alone in her room
Always with a book
Dark brown hair
With eyes to match
Seeming shy at first glance
But that's not who she is
Many friends in life
Yet she's always by herself
Smiles appear rarely
And there's darkness in her eyes
Holding her secrets
Alone in her room
Always frowning
Stressing over little things
That aren't so little
Constantly changing
While staying true
Caring towards others
Though an unintentional klutz
Who brings most people down with her
She doesn't know who she is
Only who she wants to be.
